iPhone Wi-Fi failures caused by battery heat?

There's been a number of complaints in the past from iPhone users about iPhone OS 2.2.1, which related to faulty Wi-Fi connections. The speculation has resurfaced, linking the faults to the heat generated by the iPhone and its battery.

Video: Sparking PowerBook adapter
