Google Desktop search for Mac released

April 5th, 2007 by Brendon Chase

Google this week have launched a Mac version of their Google Desktop application.

While the Mac OS X Tiger operating system has a similar feature built into it already, called Spotlight, the Google desktop search will also allow users to search their Web history and access to history in Google applications such as GMail.

Extension developers will be pleased that Google Desktop automatically uses Spotlight plug-ins users already have. This means there is no recoding required for Googleââ,¬â„¢s application.

Users can download the beta for free:

for those that need to find, edit and extract content within Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress documents - without needing the native applications, PageZephyr is the perfect answer. (http://www.pagezephyr.com)
