In case one billion iPhone app sales hasn't impressed you, Optus has opened its Happy Place at Circular Quay in Sydney to showcase iPhones, apps and the people who love them.

From 7am-7pm between Monday 22 June and Thursday 25 June, the Optus Happy Place is open for business. The huge, puffy jumping-castle-style fixture at First Fleet Park houses iPhone experts available to answer questions about the iPhone and what is available to download via Apple's App Store. Think of it like a mobile Apple Store, with the genius bar replaced by (hopefully) equally qualified 20-somethings.

Alongside the display counters, the Happy Place also includes a stage, giving celebrity guest speakers the chance to gush about their iPhone love and to show off some of the cool upcoming apps to be made available by Australian developers. Optus calls these hAPPlication sessions; we call this, in turn, the year's worst tech pun.

Celebrity guest speakers through the week include Biggest Loser trainer Michelle Bridges, eye surgeon Dr Clare Fraser, and Rob Murray, CEO of Melbourne-based Firemint, the company behind the surprise iPhone hit game Flight Control. The speakers will appear daily between 7am and 9am, at lunch (between 12pm and 1:30pm), and again between 5pm and 7pm.
