Apple claim 10% of all notebook purchases in March

May 14th, 2007 by Brendon Chase

Appleinsider is reporting sales of Apple notebook made up for roughly 10% of all notebook purchases in the United States during March.

According to data release by the NDP Group, Apple was placed fourth on the list of top selling notebook manufacturers with 9.9 percent, which placed it ahead of Compaq at 8.5 percent. Toshiba was on top of the list with 26.2 percent, followed by HP at 23.9 percent. Dell are omitted from the list because of their business model of selling direct to consumers and not through retail stores.

The latest figures show notebooks are up from February's sales but slightly down from the 10.1 percent share Apple had in January.
