How-to: Add your favourite program to the OS X Dock

April 1st, 2008 by Brendon Chase

Adding applications you regularly use to the Dock can save time fumbling around in Finder. Here's the easy way to add apps to Dock.

Open the Applications folder and search for the program you want to add to the Dock. Click on the icon and drag it to the Dock. The application will stay in the Dock and can conveniently be used whenever you want to open it.

Users can add as many applications as can physically fit.

To remove programs from the Dock simply hold down ctrl and click on the application and click on "Remove from Dock". This will remove the application from the Dock but won't uninstall the application from the computer. The program will still be available in the Finder folder.

It seems not hard to add the favourite programs to the OS X Dock. It is easy to operate.
